Phyllis Friday

Funeral service for Phyllis Ann Friday, of Emory, are scheduled for Thursday, May 7, 2020,

at Emory Baptist Church, at 1:00 pm. Following the service, burial will be at Willow Springs Cemetery.

Dr. Richard Piles and Dr. Joe Perkins will officiate.

The Governor's mandate will be in place still.....close to 25% of normal occupancy at the church.

Phyllis passed away Tuesday, May 5th at her home in Emory.

She was born in Coffeeville, Kansas, on April 14, 1934 to the parentage of

James Efton and Elsie D. Marang Scott.

She married Gerry Friday, in Dallas, on June 28, 1957.

They moved to Rains County in 1980.

Phyllis was employed by several companies, in several lines of work but,

when she began working at Emory Baptist Church...that became her love.

She worked as secretary and office manager for some 23 years.

Phyllis really loved her church and so enjoyed her work there.

She knew so many people...people that she loved and they loved

her back.

Her smile will never be forgotten....

Phyllis will be missed by all who knew her.

Husband: Gerry Friday of Emory

Sons: Larry Dale Friday and wife Anita of Midlothian

Michael Dean Friday of Emory

Brother: Jack Scott, and wife Sonnie of Rockwall

Granddaughter: April Marie Nass
