Nina Young

March 1, 1939 — September 26, 2020

Nina Ruth Young of Emory, Texas went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2020.  Mrs. Young was born in California on March 1, 1939 to Joe and Mamie Seeber.  She married James Charles Young on August 21, 1956 in Ardmore, Oklahoma.  They had two sons together, Kenny and Scott.

She retired from Rains ISD as the High School Library Aide.  She absolutely loved working with the young people and helped with the creation of the Senior Mother-Daughter Tea.  It gave her an excuse to use her beloved collection of tea pots and cups.  As a member of Emory Baptist Church, she taught the High School Girls Sunday School Class for many years.  Nina loved these girls and formed many life-long relationships with those that passed through her class.

Her family was her greatest joy.  She loved her boys unconditionally and would later find the ultimate happiness in being Nana to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Nina also enjoyed spending her evenings with her extended Sidekick’s Family over dinner and conversation.

Nina is survived by many loving family members.
