Obituary

Funeral service for Charles “Charlie” Legate, of Point, will be held at Wilson-Orwosky Chapel on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 11:00 am.  There will also be a visitation service beginning one hour prior at 10:00 am.

Charlie was born on March 15, 1941, to Woodrow Legate and Lizzy Morgan in Bogata, TX. He died Monday, January 24 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.

He is survived by his son, Steve Legate and wife Debra; grandchildren, Steven Legate and wife Margie, Nikita Wiggins and husband Thomas, Jack Rudder and wife Ashley; great grandchildren, Korbin, Aioria, Lathan, Laine, Ke’Andra; brother, Galen Legate and wife Kay; niece, Gala Francis; nephew, Chad Legate.

Charlie is preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers for his service are as follows, Steve Legate, Steven Legate, Chad Legate, Thomas Wiggins, Joe Francis and Terry Carter.
