Carol Cantrell

January 4, 1952 — June 18, 2020

A graveside service for Carol Sue Cantrell, age 68, of Point, Texas, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Lonestar Cemetery with Jeff Jackson and Zach Honzell officiating and Darel Cantrell, Gayle Cantrell, Dwaine Cantrell, Wendell Reed, Shane Cantrell, and Veldon Cantrell serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be J.D. Hawkins. Mrs. Cantrell passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Hunt Regional Medical Center.

She was born on January 4, 1952 in Chama, NM to James D. and Wanda Carden Martin. Carol married Buddy Cantrell in Rockwall, TX. She was a member of Bull Creek Cowboy Church in Lone Oak, Point Ladies Civic Club and volunteered for over ten years at Rains County Good Samaritans. Carol was a great cook and her guacamole was the best and no one could make potato salad as tasty as hers. She always loved sharing her meals with others.

Carol is survived by her husband, Buddy Cantrell of Point; mother, Wanda Martin of Tacoma, WA; daughters: Jamie Reyes and husband Wayne of Tacoma,WA, Crystal Lankford and husband Fred of Virginia; son, Darel Cantrell of Rowlett,TX; grandchildren: Sara, Amber, Shane and Kayleigh; four great grandchildren; sisters: Debbie Martin and Barbara Martin; Neva Adcock Wesson who she referred to as her Texas Mama.

She was preceded in death her father; James D. Martin; brothers: Bobby Martin and Danny Martin; sister, Mary Martin
