Wally was known for his authenticity; he spoke his mind with an honesty that endeared him to many. Those who shared time with him remember this trait fondly. Honest and true, Wally was nothing if not genuine.
He spent nearly the entirety of his life in Emory, Texas, having moved there as an infant and making it his home until about 2015. Wally closely followed Rains County football, an enthusiasm that his family embraced alongside him. One memorable outing saw Wally’s devotion to the team rewarded by the cheerleaders, who gifted him a prized football—a gesture that brought him joy and pride.
