Terry was known far and wide as a top-notch mechanic at Classic Chevy in Royse City, where his skilled hands and keen eye for detail brought countless classic cars back to their shining glory. Restoring these timeless vehicles was more than a job — it was a true labor of love, a craft that he cherished deeply. Beyond the garage, Terry was an adventurous and daredevil motorcycle rider, always chasing the thrill of the open road with a smile on his face and the wind at his back.

His heart was as big as his passion. Among his greatest joys were his faithful dog, Harley, and the countless hours spent fishing and exploring the outdoors. Memories of tubing on the lake and teaching his daughter Ashley to work on cars, paint a picture of a man who lived fully, embracing both the quiet moments and the exhilarating ones with equal zeal.

Above all, Terry’s proudest accomplishment was his daughter, Ashley — a testament to the deep love and dedication he carried as a father. Their bond was unmistakable, filled with learning, laughter, and shared adventures that will be treasured forever.

He is survived by his children, Ashley Bulow and James Dickinson; grandchildren, Morgan Bulow, Madilynn Parsons, Josh Parsons; great grandchild, Jaxon London; siblings, Gary Payne and Patsy, Tim Payne and Rachel; sister-in-law, Cathy Payne, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Amber Rae Payne; brothers, Steve Payne, Robert Payne, Tommy Payne; nephews, Kevin Payne and Shane Payne.

Terry James Payne leaves behind a legacy of love, expertise, and fearless spirit. Though he has passed from our sight, his story remains alive, felt in every classic car driven, every motorcycle ride taken, and every moment lived with courage and heart.
