A Celebration of Life service for Terrie "Grandma" Sawyer, age 65, will be held on December 17, 2023, at Lakeview Church located at 11020 FM 751, Quinlan, TX 75474. The service will begin at 5:00 PM and the family asks that everyone wear purple in honor of Terrie's extraordinary life.

Terrie Sawyer, a Godly woman whose radiant spirit illuminated the lives all who knew her, has peacefully departed from this world on December 14, 2023. She was born on November 16, 1958, in Greenville, TX, to Tommie Sue Allen and was raised by her and Blackie Hathcoat, and passed away in Sulphur Springs, TX.

Terrie's career spanned several years as a customer sales representative for Masonite, where she excelled in fostering strong connections with customers through her warm and inviting demeanor. She had an innate ability to make everyone feel valued and heard, leaving a lasting impact on those she encountered.

One aspect of Terrie's life that brought laughter to many was her uncanny talent for finding curbs. It seemed that every time she got behind the wheel of a car, a curb would not escape her gentle collision. Nonetheless, her endearing charm persisted throughout.

Terrie married the love of her life, Timothy Sawyer, in 1980. Although she loved her children, she was a devoted grandmother above all else and a source of immense love and guidance for her grandchildren; Terrie held them dearer to her heart than even her own children. Her unwavering affection wrapped around all of them. Each of them carries within them the legacy of her love.

If one sought wisdom or had questions regarding matters of faith and spirituality, Terrie was the person to turn to. Her profound understanding of God and the Bible made her a reliable source of knowledge and guidance. She shared her faith with unwavering passion and believed in the power of love as the unifying force that could heal any divide.

Perhaps best described as sunshine personified; Terrie aimed to spread warmth and bring people together through her genuine care for others. As the peacekeeper of her family, she went above and beyond to ensure harmony prevailed among her loved ones. She embraced the qualities of compassion, forgiveness, and empathy, inspiring others to follow in her footsteps.

In her moments of solitude, Terrie found solace amidst the beauty of nature. Sitting out in the garden with a captivating book in hand was where she felt most at ease. The tranquility and serenity that surrounded her allowed for reflection and contemplation, nurturing her spirit.

Terrie's departure leaves a void in our lives that cannot be filled. However, her memory will forever be etched within our hearts. She has left behind a legacy of love, selflessness, and unwavering faith that inspires us to be better versions of ourselves every day.

Terrie is survived by her loving daughters; Misti Anderson and husband Bryan, Tracy Bethune and husband Michael, grandchildren; Bri Bender and husband Jon, Savanna Anderson, Kait'Lynn Jolly, Kye'Liegh Bethune, Tabatha Castillo, Layne Gano, Trey Anderson, Timothy Davis, Easton Bethune, Kelton Adams and great-grandson Jon B. Bender, as well as several nieces and nephews whose lives she enriched.
She was greeted in Heaven by her loving husband, parents, and children; Jonathan winkle and Angela Sawyer.

We bid farewell to a remarkable woman whose light will continue to shine even in her absence. May we carry forth Terrie Sawyer's spirit of love, compassion, and devotion to family and faith as we navigate our own journeys through life. Rest peacefully now, dear Terrie - your legacy lives on in the hearts you have touched.
