Tammy Lynn Huie, age 58 passed away peacefully Monday September 26, 2022, in her home with her loving husband Danny Ray Huie by her side. She was born November 28, 1963, in Sulphur Springs, TX to Archie Mitchell and Shirley Mabry. She married her husband and love, Danny Huie, on January 14, 1983. She was preceded in death by her parents Archie and Shirley Mitchell and her brother Archie Dean Mitchell.
Tammy loved her family and loved the Lord Jesus Christ. She attended Lake Fork Baptist Church and after being saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, she grew in that faith while sharing it with her family and others. She wanted to see her children and grandchildren grow in wisdom and faith in the Lord. She would often be found reading her bible and studying His Word, desiring to know God more. She wanted nothing more than to see others come to saving faith in Jesus Christ. Even in passing her faith remained strong and it encouraged many around her.
Her favorite bible verse was from Luke 10:27, “And he answered, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
For many years Tammy worked as a nurse, which suited her loving heart. She had built many relationships with her co-workers and her patients. Her life and faith was a living testimony and an influence to many around her.
Tammy is survived by her husband Danny Huie; step-mother Kathy Jones; sitsters Margaret Gumm and Wanda Pace; her daughter and family Stacey and Chad Darlin; her four sons and their families Johnny Huie, Daniel and Casey Huie, Dustin and Amanda Huie, and Dillon Huie; grandchildren Brycen Gillespie, Bayleigh Gillespie, Braxton Darlin, Brynlee Darlin, Dawson Huie Ashlun Huie, Waylon Huie, Aniston Huie, Mabry Huie, Cason Huie, Weston Huie, Mattalie and Lorabelle Huie, Kurt McEuen, Sophia Garza, Hannah Huie, Jaxon Huie; plus 1great grandchild Easton Huie and her many nephews and nieces. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
