Steven Michael Hardy, known to many simply as Steve, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by his Family and cherished friends. He was born on February 17, 1954, in Georgia, to John Henry Hardy and Grace Virginia (Kerley) Hardy.

Steve is survived by his two sisters, Cathy (Larry) Vogel of Keller, TX, Shelia Meachum of Heber Springs, AR; brother, Stanley Kelly (Kimberly) of Villa Rica, GA, and several nieces and nephews.

Steve lived a life defined by his drive and dynamic spirit—a true free spirit whose passion for life was evident in all that he pursued. As a self-employed painter by trade, Steve devoted his career to honing his craft with meticulous attention to detail. Beyond his professional achievements, Steve had a deep love for riding his Harley, embracing the freedom and adventure that the open road offered. He was also a talented craftsman, finding joy in building small projects that showcased his creativity and hands-on expertise. These hobbies were more than pastimes; they were extensions of the very essence of who Steve was—a man of passion. Steve’s journey from Georgia to Texas, supported by friendships and a zest for life, leaves a lasting impression on all who knew him. His memory endures in the hearts of those he touched, a testament to a life well-lived and a spirit that will continue to inspire. He is remembered with great respect and admiration for the man he was—driven, dynamic, and unmistakably Steve.
