Stephen Medina, Jr.

Funeral service for Stephen "Jess" Medina, Jr., age 78, of Emory, will be held Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, 2:000 pm, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery.
Bro. Henry Garmon and Bro. Mike McNair will officiate.
Visitation will be at 1:00 pm, one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Medina was born Oct. 17, 1936, in San Francisco, to Stephen Jesse and Josefina Silvagolni Medina.
He was in the U.S. Army...and served his country.
He married Maria Refugio Sanchez in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico on Sept. 19, 1959.
Mr. Medina worked for and retired from Rockwell-Collins International, Plano, TX. He retired, after 30 years of service, from Metrology Lab of the Command and Control Systems Division, Defense Electronics as Metrology Technician III.
He is survived by:
Wife: Maria R. "Kooka" Medina of Emory'
Daughter: Rosa Maria Medina Garmon (Henry) of Point;
Grandchildren: Stephan Allen Redmon; Michell Ruthann Sicking; and Jessica Staley;
Great-grandchildren: Andrew; Lucas; Marie; and Jackson;
Numerous other loving family and friends;
Preceded in death by: Parents; and 1 daughter, Irma Garcia Burgan
