Rusty Lee Edwards was born on July 25, 1959, in Dallas, Texas, to Robert Lee Edwards and Mildred Janis (Fagala) Edwards. He peacefully departed this world on December 4, 2025, at home, surrounded by his girls, Caron, Amanda, Allison, Tate, and Harper.
Rusty truly enjoyed his career as an auto-body painter, showcasing his skill and artistry. The essence of Rusty's character was one of wisdom and wit, making him a joy to be around. His kindness was well-known, and he had an uncanny ability to make anyone feel welcome. Babies and animals were immediately comfortable with him.
Music was a passion that filled his life with a delight that he generously shared with friends and family, especially by playing his guitar. He possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of singers and song-writers from the 1960s onward.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Edwards and Mildred Janis (Fagala) Edwards .
Rusty is survived by his wife of thirty-two wonderful years, Caron (Balch) Edwards; children, Amanda Tipton (Johnathan), Allison Hobgood (Jason), Tate Gallup (David); grandchildren, Maggie McGee, Brandon Hobgood, August Gallup, Michael Tipton, Michelle Tipton, Alex Gallup, Max Gallup; siblings, Gary Edwards, Janet Barnett; life-long best friend, Trey Pearson, faithful companion Harper Edwards, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
