Rufus Nutt

Funeral service for Rufus Junior Nutt, age 78, of Emory, will be held on Tuesday, June 24, at Emory Baptist Church. Bro. Dave Ricketts and Debbie Ricketts will officiate. Mr. Nutt will lie in state at
Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home on Monday, from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. At that time, his body will be moved to the church for visitation, there, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
Mr. Nutt died at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Rockwall on Friday, June 20.
He was born on Nov. 3, 1935, in DeKalb, to James Rufus and Bessie Beatrice Grady Nutt.
He was self-employed, most of his life, as a cement contractor.
He married Anita Lorene Vinson on Jan. 21, 1956, in Durant, OK.
Mr. Nutt was a member of Emory Baptist Church.

Daughter: Debbie L. Ricketts (husband, Dave L.) of Emory
Son-in-law: Ronnie Snell of Emory
Sister: Winnie Mae Layman of Semi Valley, CA
Brother: David Nutt (wife, Ernestine) of Wills Point
Grandchildren: Brandi Shapiro, Tamra Snell, Tabitha Engle, Justin Ricketts, Raelynn Paris, Lance Sears, Shawn Sears, Joseph Ricketts, and Michal Cash
Great-grandchildren: Zachary, Sarah, Hannah, MaKenna, Cameron, Kamdon, Paige, Natalie, and Kesler
Numerous other loving family and friends
Preceded in death by: parents; 1 daughter, Linda Snell; 2 brothers, Bill Nutt and Bobby Nutt; 3 sisters, Alma Moody, Rachel Nutt, and Mary Boswll
