Ray David Daughety passed away on September 21, 2026.

Ray will be remembered as a kind and loving man, a dedicated and faithful friend, and someone who loved big. He carried himself with warmth and loyalty, and his presence left a lasting impression on the people and community around him.

For much of his life, Ray worked as a truck driver, beginning at just 18 years old and continuing in that profession until his retirement in 2021. That long career reflected his steady nature, strong work ethic, and commitment through the years.

Among the blessings of his life, Ray was especially proud of his marriage and relationship with his wife, Robin. They were married in 2018, and their life together began years earlier, in 2011. Their bond was a meaningful and cherished part of his life.

Ray was a Rains High School graduate, and he loved Rains County and the community, it was an important part of who he was. After his amputation, Ray looked for a way to give back to his community and those in a similar situation to him. With the help and support of his wife, he started Reborn 2 Disciple. Through this organization, Ray helped others who were living with amputation and gave them a normal life again.

He also enjoyed cheering for the Texas Longhorns and found happiness in cooking, especially when working with his Dutch oven. These simple pleasures brought him joy and gave others many opportunities to share the things he loved.

Ray David Daughety will be remembered with love for his faithful heart, his friendship, and the generous way he gave of himself. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him.
