Preston Eugene Hamm

A come-and-go visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home in Emory, Texas. Family and friends are welcome to stop by throughout the evening to pay their respects and honor Preston's memory.

Preston Eugene Hamm, 64, passed away on June 25, 2026. He was born on March 8, 1962, in Dallas, Texas, to Charles and Charlotte Hamm.

Preston is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lisa Fretwell Hamm. The two were married on October 24, 1987.

He had three beautiful, amazing daughters: Michelle Hamm Bacon and her husband, Ryan, along with their children, Kason, Brentley, and Madelynn; Jennifer Hamm Watson and her husband, Colby; and Kaitlin Hamm.

He also leaves behind a very special friend, Lori Gibson.

Preston is also survived by his sister, Debbie Gilbreath, and her husband, Audie; their children, Arron Gilbreath and Melissa Warren; and many other beloved family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Charlotte Hamm.

Preston dedicated 25 years of his life to education as a school teacher, making a lasting impact on the lives of countless students. Before becoming a teacher, he worked alongside his family in the family business, Hamm’s Tires.

Preston embraced life with an adventurous spirit. He loved traveling, especially exploring new places on his Harley-Davidson and riding trails on his dirt bike. Whether he was discovering a hidden restaurant, catching the latest movie, creating YouTube videos and TikToks, or planning his next adventure, Preston found joy in experiencing life to its fullest. His enthusiasm, sense of humor, and love of sharing those experiences with others will be remembered by everyone who knew him.
