Peggy Mitchell

Peggy Beavers Mitchell was called home to be with the Jesus on May 31, 2026 at her home, she was surrounded by her family.

She was born on April 11, 1938 to Ollie Beavers and Minnie Vaugh Beavers. She was married to Ivan Mitchell in Clovis, New Mexico on October 27, 1956 until he passed away in 2019. They were married 63 years.

Peggy moved to Emory from West Texas and couldn’t believe all the trees, green grass, and lakes. It didn’t take long for gardening to become one of her biggest hobbies. She definitely had a green thumb. She loved the outdoors fishing, hunting, and making memories with her kids and grandkids. She was know as NENE. There was always a meals and lots of shenanigans at NENE and Pops house. The memories her grandkids have of her are vast and they each have a funny story or two about her!

Peggy is survived by her daughters Karen Davis and husband Mike, Kara Good and husband Carl; grandchildren Brooke Millican and wife LaWanda, Charlie Nalls, Leslee Arredondo and husband Isai, Melissa Eldridge, Hollie Kennedy.

She had 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends of friends including her enormous Facebook following,

She is proceeded in death by her parents Ollie and Minnie Beavers; husband Ivan Mitchell; daughter Laquetta Kennedy; son Manuel Montoya; siblings Wayne Beavers and Alvin Beavers.
