Patricia Ann Hooten, affectionately known as "Boots," passed away on January 31, 2026, at her residence in the presence of her loving husband, Dail. Born on December 22, 1936, in Point, Texas, Patricia dedicated her life to being a devoted wife, and mother as well as an integral part of her community.

Boots was a remarkable woman who took pride in her career as a mother to four boys, nurturing them with unwavering love and care. Her dedication extended beyond her family, making her everyone's mother in the neighborhood. Her kind and caring nature, combined with her incredible talent for hosting numerous family reunions, left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Her sons fondly remember the memorable moments of their childhood, particularly when she would insist they wore clean uniforms, refusing to let them play a double-header with dirty uniforms. Patricia was also known for her creative flair, evidenced by her transformation of their pants into fashionable bell-bottoms adorned with patterns that brought joy and style to their attire. Additionally, her sewing skills were nothing short of legendary, as she not only patched their clothes but also inspired friends and neighbors with her remarkable ability to make everyone want patches on their outfits.

Boot's culinary expertise was well celebrated in her family; she was renowned for her delicious taco salad, a dish that brought everyone together at the table. She was involved in various activities that echoed her generous spirit, including volunteering at Good Samaritans and being an active member of the Point Civic Club.

Boots is survived by her husband of 70 years, Dail Hooten; sons, Jimmy Hooten and wife Nancy, Todd Hooten and wife, Rachel, Michel Wayne Hooten, Jeff Hooten; grandchildren, Payton Hooten, Kelly Hooten, Britney Kistler and husband Harrison, Ashley Harper and husband Kyle, Robert Keller and wife Joanna, Anthony Johnson and wife Courtney, Dustin Johnson and wife Makenzie; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Helms, Abigail Helms, Jane Harper, Kristin Johnson, Kasper Johnson, Klovis Johnson, Savannah Johnson, Hunter Johnson, Presley Johnson Hayden Johnson, Ashton Labove; siblings, Walter Floyd Moseley, Oma Lee Combs.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Oma Moseley; granddaughter, Amanda Hooten; siblings, Flo Rudd, LM Moseley, Lona Hooten.

Boots leaves behind a cherished memory of kindness, care, and unwavering commitment to her family and community. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
