Nellie O'Rear

Graveside service for Nellie Belle O'Rear, age 89, formerly of Emory,
will be held Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014, 2:00 pm, at Turner Cemetery. Robert Burns will officiate. Burial will follow in Turner Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday evening at Wilson-Orwosky funeral home.
Mrs. O'Rear was born Jan. 16, 1925, in Emory, to Daniel Steve and Willie Mae Parsons Shedd.
She married Samuel O'Rear.
Mrs. O'Rear was a loving wife and mother. She worked some outside the
home, but, for the most of her life, she was a homemaker. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include:
1 Daughter, Peggy Nell Stearns (Don) of McKinney
4 Sisters: Peggy Williams of Abilene; Jo Dan Waters of Lubbock; Erelene Webb of Anton; and, Patsy Stephenson of Lubbock
1 granddaughter, Callie Stearns of Denton;
Numerous other loving family and friends
She was preceded in death by: parents; husband, 2 sons, Samuel O'Rear, Jr.; and Kenneth O'Rear; 2 brothers, C.D. Shedd, Bo Shedd; and 2 sisters, Vada Rylant and Delvina Gage
