Known for his servant heart and unwavering dedication to those he loved, Michael lived a life full of love, care, and service.
Michael’s career was deeply intertwined with his love for animals. He managed a pet store, a place where his passion truly shone. His connection to the animals he cared for spoke volumes about his gentle nature and his desire to nurture and protect. Before his time managing the pet store, Michael served in the United States Army, where he was a cook responsible for preparing meals for over 300 men while also managing the kitchen. His role required immense skill, dedication and leadership- qualities Michael displayed with quiet grace and pride. His time in the Army was a significant chapter in his life showcasing his commitment to serving others. Outside of work and service, Michael found joy in music, with Celine Dion being one of his favorite artists. His love for the outdoors reflected his adventurous spirit and appreciation for the simple beauties of life. Micheal’s family was the heart of his world, his proudest accomplishment was his deep devotion to his son, Sean and his grandchildren, who meant everything to him. He was also cherished as a wonderful uncle. His sister Kara fondly remembers his selflessness, especially recalling how he cared for her after her surgery-even though he was sick himself. Michael was a truly good big brother, always ready to offer support and kindness. Michael is survived by his son, Sean Moody and Febra; grandchildren, Cody Moody and Alexis King; sister, Kara Stevens and Randall; nephews David Stevens and Daniel Stevens; niece, Carrie Holtzclaw. He is preceded in death by his parents, Riley and Anna Moody and his sister, Theresa Joestein. Though Michael is no longer with us, his legacy of love, generosity and commitment lives on through the family and friends who were fortunate enough to know him. His life reminds us all of the power of kindness and the difference one compassionate soul can make in the world.
