IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael
Doros
April 25, 1941 – March 18, 2026
Memorial Service
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and cherished member of his community, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026. Born on April 25, 1941, Michael’s life was a testament to love, dedication, and service. Michael’s journey began with deep roots in faith and commitment.
From the tender age of seven, he served as an altar boy, a role he embraced with reverence and joy throughout his childhood. He graduated from Catholic school, anchored by the values that shaped his character and guided his every step. His devotion extended beyond childhood, as he faithfully conducted seven services every Sunday, a spiritual pillar for many who looked to him for strength and compassion.
His academic pursuits led him to earn a Master’s degree from the University of Michigan, a foundation upon which he built not just a career, but a legacy. Michael owned and ran multiple day care centers, uniquely responsive to the needs of families with unconventional work hours — especially those of doctors, nurses, and others whose professional commitment demanded extraordinary flexibility. Through his work, he created safe havens and nurturing environments, showing his profound dedication to community and care.
Those who knew Michael remember his loving and giving nature. While he could be set in his ways, this steadfastness was always motivated by a sincere desire to be of service and help others in any way he could. His pride was palpable in his family — particularly in seeing his grandchildren reach the goals they set for themselves. More than anyone, he believed in the power of support and encouragement to unlock potential. Michael shared forty beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife Elizabeth. Their partnership was a beacon of love and mutual respect, something that strengthened Michael’s spirit and enriched all who witnessed it. Together, they nurtured a family that thrived under their care and guidance.
Outside his professional and familial commitments, Michael found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Work was more than a vocation to him; it was a mission filled with purpose. He also cherished moments spent with his neighbor Louis, finding comfort and camaraderie in these gatherings that reflected the value he placed on friendship and community.
One of the most touching memories held by those close to Michael is his unfailing presence at his grandchildren’s events. Never once did he miss an opportunity to cheer them on, to celebrate their achievements, and to stand as a steadfast supporter in their lives. This unwavering devotion remains a lasting testament to his generous heart.
Michael Doros’s departure leaves a profound void, yet his legacy of love, commitment, and service endures. He lived a life rich in purpose and connection, one that inspired those around him to embrace kindness and dedication. His memory will forever be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Elizabeth Doros; children, Tiffany Weddle; grandchildren, Jana Weddle, and Jessie Weddle; siblings, Phyllis Pidek, Don Doros and wife Sharon, and Linda McDonald and husband Richard.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents.
As we say goodbye to Michael, we hold onto the countless ways he touched our lives — with a loving spirit, a giving hand, and a heart committed to family and community. His story is one of grace and unwavering devotion, a legacy that will continue to inspire for generations to come.
