Maxine Sherwood, born on December 6, 1929, passed away on August 19, 2025. She lived a remarkable life, marked by her dedication, kindness, and nurturing spirit. Maxine devoted 30 years of her career to Haggar Manufacturing, where her contributions were both valuable and deeply appreciated by her colleagues and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 2PM at Wilson Orwosky Chapel in Emory, Texas. A graveside service will follow at Lone Star Cemetery in Point, Texas.

Throughout her life, Maxine exemplified the qualities of a loving and supportive individual. Her spiritual nature and generous heart touched the lives of many, making her a cherished figure in her community. Maxine had a unique term of endearment for those she cared for, affectionately referring to them as an "exceptional person," a reflection of her charming personality and the warmth she brought to her relationships.

In her free time, Maxine found joy in reading and sewing. She was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed spending evenings watching Wheel of Fortune, activities that brought her happiness and allowed her to connect with others.

She is survived by her children, Lanell Johnson, Jerry Morrow and Tami, Cindy Stapleton and Brent; grandchildren, Dana Reyes and Valente, Chris Morrow and Lauri, Renee Johnson, Susan Pati and Tim, Jennifer Walters and John, Sherry Harradine and Shawn, Samantha Thomas and Cody; her 22 great grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; sister, Margie Shinpaugh, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Maxine is preceded in death by her parents, Thurman and Leona Briggs, Gary Olen Marrow and her 8 brothers and 2 sisters.

Maxine will be remembered not only for her proud accomplishments in her career but also for the profound impact she had on those around her through her giving nature and steadfast support. Her memory will continue to inspire and uplift all who had the privilege of knowing her.
