Margaret Cagle

November 30, 1965 — February 15, 2024

Margaret Cagle, beloved wife, devoted mother, a dedicated public servant, passed away on February 15, 2024, in Grand Saline. She was born Margaret Sabo on November 30, 1965, in Terre Haute, IN to parents Robert Sabo and Beverly (Borden) Sabo. Margaret dedicated her life to serving others through her work in the Senior Meal Program as a manager, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and selflessness.

Margaret's love for taking care of others extended far beyond her professional career. As the absolute better half of their marriage, she cared for others more than herself. Anytime she would pass an accident, you would hear her saying a prayer for all those involved and their families. She was a true servant beyond measure and loved her job deeply, along with all the people she had the privilege to serve. Margaret's genuine heart and unwavering dedication touched countless lives within her community.

Outside of work, Margaret found joy and solace in simple pleasures. She liked to indulge in reading and solving puzzles for relaxation. However, her true passion lay in cooking. Known by her family and friends as a culinary wizard, Margaret's dishes were simply divine. Her cooking skills were legendary within her close-knit circle; her pies were so delicious that they could cause wars – but fortunately, only battles of taste buds! Her impeccable culinary creations brought warmth and joy to everyone fortunate enough to taste them.

One of Margaret's greatest joys was showering love on her beloved dog, Molly. Their bond was a testament to the kindness and unconditional love that she radiated throughout her life. Molly brought immeasurable happiness into Margaret's world, creating unforgettable memories filled with wagging tails and wet kisses.

During her final days, Margaret found solace in the company of her devoted husband Ken Cagle and their loving son Zachry Cagle. They stayed by her side every step of the way, providing comfort and support until the very end. The tender presence of family brought immense strength to Margaret as she faced her health challenges with courage and grace.

Margaret leaves behind a legacy of compassion and love that will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Her selflessness, unwavering dedication to serving others, and genuine kindness will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew her. She made the world a better place with her warmth, empathy, and boundless love for the people around her.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband Ken Cagle, their devoted son Zachry Cagle, and her mother-in-law Barbara Loughary. The impact she had on their lives is immeasurable, and they will forever cherish the memories they created together.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Robert Sabo Jr.

In this time of sorrow, as we mourn Margaret's untimely departure from this world, let us also celebrate the beautiful life she lived. As we bid farewell to an exceptional soul who graced our lives with compassion and selflessness, let us remember Margaret's contagious smile and kind heart. May her soul find eternal peace knowing that she made a profound difference in the lives of so many.
