Maggie Lou Jeffrey, a beloved soul who touched the lives of many, passed away at her home on June 18, 2024. She was born on March 31, 1934, in Grand Saline, TX to Thomas Bell and Ethel Thornton Bell.

Maggie’s journey was one of resilience and hard work. She departed formal education early to support her family by picking cotton. She married Joe Jeffrey on July 28, 1956 and they were married 42 years before his passing. She dedicated her life to her family. She later went to work outside of the home and retired from E-Systems in the 90s. More than anything she loved being a Momma and a Mammaw.

Maggie found solace and joy in simple pleasures. She adored spending time in her garden, nurturing the flowers around her, and she especially loved the red birds and hummingbirds. Her cooking skills were unmatched, Maggie spent many hours cooking for her cherished family. She was insistent that she do everything on her own when it came to the kitchen.

Maggie now leaves behind a legacy that will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved her. She is reunited in peace with her parents, husband Joe Jeffrey, great-grandson Landon Jeffrey, four brothers and two sisters.

Her spirit lives on through her surviving family and friends: Sons, Ronald Stockton of Minnesota, Clifton Boyd Jeffrey of Sulphur Springs; daughter, Sandra Reeves and husband Gary of Mineola; grandchildren, Courtney Gentry and husband Craig of Lone Oak, Bradley Jeffrey and wife Ashlie of Emory, Chad Jeffrey and wife Crystal of Poetry, Kellie Stockton and husband Dave of Minnesota, Natalie Williamson and husband David of Mineola, Donnie Jr. Parrish of Dallas; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

In loving memory of Maggie Lou Jeffrey, may she rest in eternal peace knowing she was cherished and valued by all whose lives she graced.
