Linda Smallwood

Linda Smallwood, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to so many, passed away at her home in Emory, Texas on April 12, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on October 12, 1952, in Paris, Texas, to Joe Henry and Nellie Fay Adams, Linda lived a life overflowing with warmth, joy, and a deep love for her family and faith.

Linda’s life was a beautiful testimony to love and dedication. For over 40 years, she and her beloved husband, Jerry, faithfully served as pastors, leading countless souls to Christ with open hearts and unwavering devotion. Her love for Jesus was fierce and unshakable, just like her love for her family—which was the very center of her world. Being a wife, mother, and grandmother was not just a role—it was her greatest joy and her proudest accomplishment.

Alongside her husband, Linda was a true partner in every sense of the word. Together, they not only built successful businesses but a life full of shared dreams, laughter, and meaningful moments. Whether in ministry or entrepreneurship, they stood side by side—each venture a testament to their love and teamwork.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Smallwood; mother, Nellie Fay Adams; daughters, Misty Deck, Jennifer Gladson and John Lichty; grandchildren, Payton Gladson and Cassidy, Brock Gladson and Melissa, Courtney Lichty, Kylee Gladson, Lauren Hollingsworth and Wesley; great-grandchildren, Riley, Chloe, McKinley, Kodi, Colt, Landry, Tenslee, Stetson, Janie, Lilly; siblings, Harold Adams and Vicki, Karran Gilpin and Steve, Craig Adams and Caronda.

She is preceded in death by her father, Joe Henry Adams and brothers David Adams and Marcus Adams.
