Ken Booth

January 18, 1957 — June 28, 2025

Emory

Robert Kenneth Booth was born on January 18th, 1957 in Oakland California to Kenneth Wayne Booth and Constance Marie Booth (Stone). He passed away on a Saturday in his home in Emory Texas; June 28th, 2025.

Ken, as he was known to most, or Kenny, as his oldest friends called him, was raised in Lancaster California by his grandparents. Ken's love of baseball was nurtured by his grandfather as he grew up playing little league where he became a life-long Giants fan and equal Dodgers hater. He graduated from Antelope Valley High School in 1975.

Not long after high school he went to recording school in Hollywood California where he obtained a Sound Engineering Degree and would learn how to produce such bands as The Motels and almost got to work on Rumours by Fleetwood Mac. He loved his music loud, he loved a variety of it, and he loved sharing it with people. You could see this when he would DJ wedding receptions, retirement parties and real estate office Christmas parties. You could hear it in, at first, the mix tapes, and then later, the mix cd's that he would make for others and himself. Music surrounds some of our fondest and dearest memories of him.

After his stint in the music business, Ken followed another passion, airplanes. He worked on many different ones including the B-lB, the C-17, and the B-2 bomber. He was not all work though. He loved to play golf, was on a few softball teams, and was an avid bowler. That is where he met his wife Diana, in 2000.

Ken and Diana were married in Lake Tahoe on January 19th, 2002. They were perfect for one another. They complimented each other's strengths and it was evident until the last day. They traveled the world together. Some of his favorite times were spent camping with Diana in various campgrounds all over the country. There were two things that were always guaranteed to happen on their camping trips: they would make new friends in the campground and it would rain.

Fondest memories of Ken was a trip to Universal in Florida with his two Grandkids. He enjoyed

every minute riding all the crazy rides with his Grand Daughter.

Ken is survived by his wife Diana Bevans. His son Anthony Booth and his wife Kiki, and their children Hudson Booth and Haven Booth. His son Justin Bevans and his wife Laura and their children Reeve Bevans and Quinn Bevans. His half-sister Jo Anne Bierly and her husband Lee and their children (and families) Corinne Roberts, Amber Pacheco, and Tiffany Pazdan. His half brother Mike Willingham preceded him in death but is survived by his wife Genny and his daughter Rhonda Buchanan and family. He was preceded in death by his brother Michael Torell but is survived by his children Mike Torell and his wife Sarah (and their children Tanner, Mia, and Dolly), Mikaya Torell, Colton Torell, and Zebediah Torell.
