Obituary

Judy Carol Carson was called home by the heavenly Father on the early morning of May 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 72. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her. Born November 21, 1953 to Burlin and Nellie Roberts of Point, Texas, she was the youngest of 15 siblings. Each of those siblings knew that calling her “The Baby” was not something she tolerated.

Judy was remarkably beautiful, loving, creative and hardworking. Those are only a small description of the amazing woman that she was. She was truly a woman that could succeed to anything that she put her mind to; her work life was truly impressive.

From her early days in Rains County, where she attended school, Judy embraced every opportunity to learn and grow. Her working life was as varied as it was impressive; she was a woman who truly could do anything. Whether behind the wheel as a truck driver, or working in the maintenance department at TI, serving customers at Safeway, managing a busy office as a secretary, or providing care through house cleaning, Judy took pride in her work and met each challenge with determination.

Among Judy’s proudest accomplishments were her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who stood by her side as a living testament to her enduring love and guidance. Judy was always there for her daughters and supported them through the highs and lows of life. Judy was unwavering in her support, always there, always showing up when it mattered most. Her ability to build not only a strong family but also a closet she crafted herself revealed her blend of practicality and creativity, always willing to build and nurture whatever was needed.

Her personality shone brightly, beautiful inside and out, witty, and endlessly full of love. She was known for her fun-loving spirit and her captivating storytelling, which could bring joy and laughter to any room. Those lucky enough to taste her homemade fudge remember it as the best sweet symbol of the warmth and care she shared so generously. Judy also had a passion for reading her Bible, finding strength and solace in its pages, and was a huge fan of watching "The Walking Dead" with her grandson, sharing moments of entertainment and bonding.

Judy is survived by her daughters, Julie Klutts (Steve Bannister) of Quinlan, Texas, Ashley Carson of Fort Worth, Texas; siblings, Clarence Roberts of Point, Texas, Donna Strebeck of Emory, Texas, Johnny Roberts and wife Elaine of Rowlett, Texas, Betty Morrow and husband Merel of Emory, Texas, Shirley Gavin and husband Charles of Arkansas; grandchildren, Brittni Gillis, Dillon Rogers, Devin Ray Miller, Emberly May Miller; great-grandchildren, Layla Goodson, Delilah Bednar, Williow Bednar, Atticus Bednar.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Burlin and Nellie Roberts; siblings, Eugene Roberts, Thelma Lee, Geneva, James (Doc), JR, Helen, Billy Wayne, Joyce, Harold Ray; great grandson, Brayden James Goodson; brother-in-law, William Ray Strebeck; son-in-law, Bobby James Rogers and best friend, Sharron Walker.

Judy C. Carson’s life was a beautiful story of resilience, kindness, and unwavering devotion. She leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire and heal. Her memory lives in the hearts of those who loved her and were lucky enough to call her family. Rest in peace, dear Judy—you were truly one of a kind.
