A celebration of life for Jerry Pierce, age 79, from Emory, will be held on May 4, from 1:00 to 4:00 P. M. at The Wildflower in Emory, Texas. The family asks that you stop by anytime during those hours and celebrate Jerry and the wonderful life that he lived.

Jerry passed away on April 16, 2024, in Sulphur Springs, TX. He was born on March 2, 1945 to parents Jesse Pierce and Ruth (Miller) Pierce in Waldo, AR.

Jerry was a man of many talents and passions. His love for his family shone through in everything he did. He found great joy in coaching his sons' little league teams and later watching as his sons took on the coaching role with enthusiasm. Jerry's dedication to being present at all of his grandchildren's games whenever possible spoke volumes about his love and support for the younger generations.

Throughout his life, Jerry enjoyed various pastimes that brought him happiness. He was an avid fisherman who cherished spending time out on the water in his boat and a sports fan who loved the Texas Rangers and Dallas Mavericks. Another favorite pastime of his was visiting casinos to try his luck at gambling, with Las Vegas holding a special place in his heart. However, above all else, Jerry valued moments spent with his family. Whether it was embarking on vacations to different destinations or creating cherished memories together in Florida or the Ozarks, Jerry always prioritized time spent with his loved ones.

Described as a man who was "loved by all," Jerry's warm personality and kind demeanor touched the lives of those around him. He met his wife Vickie when she moved next door to him and within three months, they were married. His proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly raising a family with her that he adored—a family that will continue to flourish for generations to come.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife Vickie Pierce, sons Jason Pierce (wife Dori) and Clayton Pierce (wife Jolee), granddaughter Joslyn Varela (husband Alex), grandsons Gavin Pierce and Carson Pierce, as well as his brother Hershel Pierce.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Edmond Pierce, and son David Pierce.

In celebrating Jerry's life, we remember a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed but whose spirit will live on through the legacy of love and joy he leaves behind. May he rest in peace knowing the profound impact he had on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
