James Kirkpatrick

Funeral service for James Alton Kirkpatrick, age 82, of Emory, will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2017, 11:00 AM, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel in Emory. Visitation will be one hour prior at 10:00 AM. Bro. Billy Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery.

James passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017, at Senior Suite Care and Rehab in Emory.

James was born on December 6, 1934, in Emory, to Ennis Nolan and Lela Myrow Kirkpatrick. He married Jeanetta Ann Howard in Emory, on September 27, 1991, they've been married some 25+ years. James worked as a machinist making oil well bits for Walker McDonald Manufacturing Company in Greenville. James was a good, honest, hard working, Christian man, husband, father, brother and friend. He was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.

Wife: Ann Kirkpatrick of Emory;
Son: Alton Lynn Kirkpatrick of Tulsa, OK;
Brother: Gerald Kirkpatrick (Donna) of Emory;
Sister: DeLois Spence (Roy) of Emory;
Sister-in-law: Martha Kirkpatrick of Emory;
Grandchildren: Billy Kirkpatrick and Jennifer Kirkpatrick;
Son-in-law: David Nelson of Greenville;
Step-Son: David Sherwood of Emory;
Numerous other loving family and friends;

Preceded by: Parents; Daughter: Rhonda Kirkpatrick Nelson; Brothers: J.T. Kirkpatrick, Earl Kirkpatrick, Nolan Kirkpatrick, Allen Kirkpatrick and Hubert Kirkpatrick; Sisters: Pearl Haney, Ruth Whitehead and infant sister: Velma Lorene Kirkpatrick; Step-son: Jay Todd Sherwood
