Ina Gowin

Ina "Ruth" Gowin, age 71, of Lone Oak, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at her home.

Funeral service is scheduled for 3 PM, Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jason Rolen officiating. Interment will follow in the Dunbar Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service on Sunday, from 2-3 PM.

Ruth was born in Cooper on January 10, 1946, to Jessie Odis and Sarah Torotha Sneed Coston. She married Perry Gowin in Sulphur Springs, on October 27, 1978. She worked for Lance, Inc. for some 19 years, and was also a homemaker and a mother while raising her three girls. She loved to sew for her family and dress her girls, head to toe, as if they were triplets. She also enjoyed studying about her genealogy. She was an excellent cook and would rise up early and cook a meal every Sunday morning before they went to church. She always enjoyed getting out her fine china on every holiday to make her family feel extra special. The most important things in her life was always her family and now her Grandbabies and Great-grandbabies...Nana loved them very much. Ruth enjoyed visiting with her friends and family, and they all agree...she was definitely a talker! Ruth was a Christian, of the Baptist faith, and she loved her Lord and Savior very much.

Husband: Perry Gowin of Lone Oak
2 Daughters: Melissa Sullivan (Scott) of Lone Oak and Julie Klutts of Quinlan
5 Grandchildren: Katelyn Lively, Brittni Bednar, Dillon Rogers, Sarah Sullivan and Deborah Sullivan
6 Great-grandchildren
Numerous other loving friends and family
