Georgia Green

In the presence of her husband of 56-years, Georgia Ashe Green, 75, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2022. Born on August 6, 1947, to William Gaston Ashe and Mary Marguerite Ashe, she was the middle child, lovingly between two older brothers, William and David, and a younger sister, Mary. 

Georgia married the love of her life, Gerald Green, on January 28, 1966, and made a beautiful family with him. Gerald and Georgia raised three sons--Glenn, Gary, and Greg. Aside from the full-time job of raising a house full of young boys, Georgia worked for decades at Southwestern Bell, finally retiring in 2003. When she wasn't darting from one ball game or another for her children and later grandchildren, Georgia loved taking motorcycle trips with Gerald, sewing, and quilt-making.

Georgia is survived by her husband, Gerald; children, Glenn Green and wife Christy, Gary Green, and Greg Green and wife Geena; grandchildren, Heather Davis and husband Clint, Brandon Green, Ethan Green, Trevin Green, Gentry Green, Georgie Green, and Gunner Green; siblings, David Ashe and wife Peggy, Mary Hollon and husband Rick; and countless great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

She is predeceased by her parents and eldest brother.
