Erik Stewart

A memorial service for Erik Wayne Stewart, AKA "Kreek Jumper", age 39, of Emory, has been scheduled

for Saturday afternoon, 3:00 pm, April 20, 2019, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel.

Pastor John Robertson and Jonathan Criswell will officiate.

Erik passed away suddenly Saturday evening April 13th.

He was born in Sulphur Springs on Dec. 4, 1979 to the parentage of Philip and Debra Sue Rowan Stewart.

He attended school at Rains High School.

Erik was a construction worker by trade......but, he was also an avid fisherman and hunter.

Anything happening outdoors was where he wanted to be. From the 1st day of deer season, duck season, any season, he

was on the hunt, finishing that season, then ready to start another season of some kind.....He loved to hunt birds, rabbits, squirrels, or

anything in the wild...... or, just being in the woods....where it was quiet... a place of clarity, for thinking, wondering, or, just being alone...

outdoors...where he could feel nature, and the smell of the woods.....anywhere outdoors where he could feel

freedom and peace within his spirit.

He loved his children who were all loved more than they'll ever know.

Also, those fish-fries ....when family and friends would gather and spend hours together.

Telling ole fishing tales, heard over and over, but, the laughs were always great and loud.

Kidding around with each other was just second nature.

Having gatherings with his family where everyone brought a covered dish, and,

there was food aplenty was a normal thing in Erik's life. Fellowship and loving each other were so important.

When family members began to gather, for a day together....and when the day was ending and family members

were leaving.....you could hear the "I love you's" being said to everyone with

a hug or slap on the back... these things were important to Erik. He loved his family and being with them.

Erik had many true friends with whom he spent many hours fishing or hunting.

Erik Wayne Stewart will be missed greatly by his family, and his friends.

Daughter and Son: Aubrey Stewart and Gunner Stewart...(Mother Amy Robertson) of Emory

Brother: Jason Stewart of Oregon

Sister: Felisha Stewart of Emory

Dad: Philip Stewart of Emory

Grandparents: John R. and Eddyth Stewart of Emory; and

Oowalah and Jimmy Henderson of Alabama

Numerous other loving family and friends

Preceded in death by: his Mother: Debra Sue Rowan; Uncle, Marty Whitman;

and Niece: Amanda Rowan
