Earl Hill, Jr.

Earl Clyde Hill, Jr., age 81, passed away, on his birthday, in the early morning hours of March 27, 2019 at his home. Mr. Hill was born on March 27, 1938, to Earl Clyde and Loree Hill, Sr., in Emory. He married Carolyn Sue Kellum in May, 1960. He was a graduate from Emory High School and attended East Texas State University. Mr. Hill was publisher of the Rains County Leader for many years. He was a member of the Emory Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and all who knew him. His survivors include: son, Earl (Trey) Hill, III of Emory; daughters, Carol Ann Hill Green and husband David of Dallas and Mendy Hill Jagoe and husband Jeff of Leander; brother, Charles Lewis and wife Pat of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Cliff Green, Kyle Green, Katelyn Green, Carson Green, Alyssa Dalgleish, Bethany Hill, Carley Hill, Delaney Hill, Juliet White Eagle, Ethan Jagoe; great-grandchildren, Falon Green and Elliston White Eagle. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Carolyn in 2016.

Interment will follow service...there will be a private family committal service at Emory City Cemetery...
