Dorothy Stovall

Funeral services for Dorothy Stovall, age 100, of Point, will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 1:00 pm, at Lone Star Cemetery. Visitation will be 15 minutes prior to the graveside service.

Dorothy was born January 7, 1923, to John and Della Hunter in the Odom Community of Van Zandt County.  She just celebrated her 100th birthday.  She married Samuel Jackson Edwards (S.J.) and enjoyed a wonderful marriage until his passing.  In 1961 she married William Stovall Sr. They were members of First Baptist Church of Point. Dorothy enjoyed the Ladies Sunday School class every Sunday. She is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Smith, Brenda Kay Massey; sons, Sam Edwards Jr. and Suzanne, Billy Stovall Jr., and Roxann; multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren and her best friend, God. She is preceded in death by her first and second husbands, and siblings.
