Deborah Ann Thomas, aged 75, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025. Born on August 10, 1949 to Bernard and Alice Reiman (Murphy) in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She graduated from St. Albert high school. Deborah later met her husband, Joseph Thomas. They were married on December 21, 1973. They moved from Council Bluffs to Rains County 8 years ago. Together they built a beautiful life that was full of adventures and cherished memories.

She dedicated a remarkable 46 years of her life to her career at Mutual of Omaha, where she was respected not only for her work ethic but also for her friendly demeanor that touched the lives of all around her.

Deborah was known for her meticulous nature and her array of talents that made her stand out in every aspect of her life. A gifted cook, she delighted family and friends alike with her culinary creations. Her creativity extended beyond the kitchen; she was a skilled seamstress, lovingly crafting her own clothes and expressing her artistic flair through sewing. Deborah’s passion for crafting was evident in her hobbies—she enjoyed scrapbooking and creating personalized cards for those she cherished, always ensuring each piece reflected her thoughtful and caring spirit. Her love for organizing and crafting brought joy into her home and the lives of others.

Above all, Deborah took great pride in being a wonderful mother. She nurtured her family with unwavering love and attention, and her legacy of kindness and creativity will forever be remembered by those who had the fortune to know her.

Deborah is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Thomas; children, Benjamin Joseph Thomas and Erin Shiver; grandchildren, Autumn Thomas, Hannah Thomas; siblings, Dan Reiman and Eddie.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Alice Reiman (Murphy) and daughter, Angela Leer.

Deborah Thomas leaves behind a rich legacy of compassion, dedication, and artistry that will be cherished by all who knew her. Her memory will always hold a special place in the hearts of her family and friends.
