Darryl "Willie" Lee Johnson

Darryl was born on August 20, 1975, to Jimmy Johnson and Donna Waldrop in Greenville, Texas.  He passed on November 23, 2022, in Yantis, Texas.  His memorial service will be held Saturday December 3, 2022, 2:00pm at Seymore Bible Fellowship 10311 TX-154 Yantis, Texas 75497.

Darryl received a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry at UT-Arlington and was Shop Supervisor at Dowdy Machine Shop. He was a loving and devoted father who was dedicated to making sure that his boys never lacked for his love and attention. He was always quick with a smile and he tried to bring laughter and fun with him wherever he went. Darryl never went anywhere that he didn’t leave those he had met feeling better about themselves. He loved big and cared deeply.

He is survived by his mom and dad; sons, Tyler Johnson, and Tanner Johnson; sister, Peggy Hutchison; brother, David Johnson and wife Jennifer; nieces, Asia Hervey, Chelsea Batscha-Stanley, Kayli Batscha; nephews, Ethan Hutchison, Brent Hutchison, Cameron Johnson and numerous family and friends that loved him and will continue his memory.
