Daniel Wilkes Parrish III, a dedicated environmental engineer and dedicated Eagle Scout passed away on February 26, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on January 2, 1959, in McAllen, Texas to Daniel Parrish Jr. and Reta Parrish (Leatherman). Daniel spent four decades of his professional life contributing to environmental engineering, showing a steadfast commitment to his work and the preservation of our planet.
Dan was a proud alumnus of Lamar University, where he laid the foundation for his career. His professional journey was characterized by a deep commitment to environment, reflecting his love and passion for the outdoors.
In his personal life, Dan was married to his cherished wife, Dr. Pam, for 20 years. Their union, that was celebrated on April 30, 2005, at the Scarborough Fair in Waxahachie, Texas, was marked by love and companionship. Together, they shared many memorable adventures, including traveling in their beloved Model A Ford and scuba diving around the world.
Dan’s personality was one characterized by kindness, humor, and generosity. He was a gregarious spirit who loved spending time outdoors, driving antique cars, and connecting with his family and friends. His enjoyment of the great outdoors extended to his hobbies; he found great pleasure in working on the ranch, grilling a mean steak , smoking a brisket on the BBQ, and sharing one of his home brewed beers. He also enjoyed taking care of his cows, playing with his tractor and hunting.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dr. Pam Henricks; children, Reanna Dipaulo and Nick, Joshua Parrish; stepchildren, Jennifer Easton, Wayne Henricks and Julia; granddaughter, Lina Easton.
He is preceded in death by his son, Daniel Parrish IV.
Above all, Dan’s proudest accomplishments were his family, his cars, and his cows. He created lasting memories with loved ones; his legacy will be carried on through the fond memories and experiences shared with all who had the privilege of knowing him. Daniel Wilkes Parrish will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and indomitable spirit.
