Clodell Briggs

Clodell Briggs, of Point, passed away peacefully, with her family near her, in Tyler at UT Health Rehab, on Wednesday, November 21, 2018.
Clodell was born on April 11, 1929, in Campbell, to the parentage of Roy Lyons and Maggie Ivy Cason.
She was a high school graduate. Clodell and Orvil Glyn Briggs were married, in Alba, on January 18, 1947.
Clodell was a former Worthy Matron in the Quinlan Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was a member of the Point Ladies Civic Club.
Lovingly known as "MawMaw" , she loved to cook and share her creations with family and friends. She was a member of
the Point United Methodist Church and enjoyed teaching Sunday School class there, and was often a volunteer supporting
various community projects.
Pallbearers will be: Marvin Henson, Mike Carter, Donnie Smith, Cody Smith, Jerry Carlisle, and Jerry Don Cason
She is survived by:
Glyn Micheal Briggs, and wife, Vicki, of Tyler
Grandson: Damon Briggs and Amber Carr of Tyler
Grandson: Darrell Briggs and wife Jaime of Tyler
Great-granddaughter: Adelyn Briggs of Tyler
Preceded in death by: Parents; Husband in 2014; and, brother, "Joe Jack" Leroy Cason

In lieu of flowers...the family requests donations be made to Lone Star Cemetery Association or Point Ladies Civic Club
