Clem Hurn, Jr.

June 18, 1934 — October 11, 2014

Funeral service for Clem Perry ("C.P.") Hurn, Jr., of East Tawakoni, will be held Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at Emory Baptist Church, 10:00 am.
Bro. Joe Perkins and Bro. James Hurn will officiate. Burial will follow in Lynch Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening, 6:00-8:00 pm at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mr. Hurn was born in Ft. Worth, June 18, 1934, to Clem Perry and Bonnie Lee Busby Hurn, Sr.
He was a United States Marine for seventeen years, serving in Korea and Vietnam, until wounds sustained in Vietnam ended his military career. As a disabled veteran, he had a second career as the Assistant Dean of the Graduate School of Management at the University of Dallas in Irving. He retired from there in 1994.
He was a member of Emory Baptist Church and taught a men's Bible Doctrine class on Sunday mornings. He loved the men who faithfully attended as his brothers in Christ, who were so eager to learn the truth of God's Word. Most of all, he loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Survivors include:
wife; Susan Hurn of East Tawakoni; 1 son,
Clem Perry Hurn, III (Vicky) of Mountain Center, CA; Daughters, Karen Lynn Rodriguez (S.R.) of Keller, Amy Diane Anderson of Brashear, and
Jennifer Ann Rhoades (Bill) of Taylor; Grandchildren, Christopher Hurn, Michael Hurn, James Hurn, Sarah Graham, Lindsay Anderson, Lauren Anderson, Hunter Mitchell and Caitlin Mitchell;
Great Grandchildren, Emily Hurn, Lyla Hurn, and Audrey Hurn; Numerous other loving family and friends
Preceded in death by: Father, Clem Hurn, Sr., Mother, Bonnie VanAsperen, 2 brothers, Charles Hurn and Ralph Stone
