Daniel Clay Mitchell

July 6, 1954 - January 16, 2024

 Clay passed away in his sleep on January 16, 2024 of heart related illness.  He is survived by his two sons, Wesley Mitchell and Charles Mitchell and their mother, Becky Mitchell; grandson, Myles Mitchell; siblings, Tommy Mitchell, Tere Henry, Lori Re, Robyn Salinas and Kathleen Randazzo. 

Clay’s family was the heart and very center of his world.  He loved deeply and was deeply loved in return. His loyalty was unshakable and enduring.

Clay loved a good story and had a thousand to tell.  He was a lifelong prankster, and knew how to spoil a photo and make you laugh at the same time.  If Clay thought something was funny, he literally smiled from ear to ear.  He loved cooking and visiting around a good campfire, and most especially his many road trips with his dearest partner in adventure, Cheryl.  All of his life, he was a big fan of family gatherings and was there for each and every one if he was able.

He will be remembered, missed, and loved. He is welcomed in heaven by his father, Homer Alfred Mitchell, mother Jajuana Dell Mitchell, best friend Richard Lee, and his beloved dog, Teddy. 

A celebration of his life will be held
