Chuck Wesson

March 10, 1932 — January 27, 2018

Charles "Chuck" Henry Wesson passed away on Saturday, Jan. 27th, at his home in Point. He was 85 years.
Chuck was born March 10, 1932, in Dallas, to the parentage of William
Henry and Virgil Corn Wilkes Wesson.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Upon returning from the service, he joined the Dallas Police Department where he was a policeman for some 30 years. Chuck was the
first policeman to fly the Dallas Police Dept. helicopter.
Chuck was a member of First Baptist Church of Point, where he served
as deacon for several years, as well as, teaching the Men's Sunday School Class.
He was also a member of the American Legion Post 156.
He married Neva Adcock on Dec. 28, 2011 at her son, Gayle's house.
From this time on, for the next 6 years, Chuck's life was filled with
contentment of country living, gardening, tending the yard, feeding the fish in the pond, listening to the cooing of the dove nesting in the back yard.... and especially giving his wife, Neva, her every wish.
Chuck was a gentle, godly man who lived to please his Savior...
a strong and tender man....a true friend...
a loving family man, a devoted husband, and loving Daddy....who admonished his children, even the evening before his death...the "important" things in life...that being to
be a saved child of God, and, to live by God's precepts...and,
to seek "the way in which they should go" from the scriptures in the
Bible.
Chuck's family, church family, and, friends were the joy of his life.
His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and everyone who crossed his path.
