Catherine Hansen

Catherine Jean Hansen, age 63, of Point, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019, in Dallas,

at Baylor Medical Center.

She was born to Bo and Viola Nell Filgo Clopton on March 4, 1956, in Dallas.

She worked as an accountant during her younger years, while going to college, as well as,

caring for her little daughter, Shannon.

Her hard work and dedication did earn her a full scholarship to SMU, where she obtained a bachelor's

degree summa cum laude in civil engineering.

Later, she and Jerry moved to East Texas and bought the family owned auto parts store in Tawakoni.

She loved and was loved by her Oak Ridge Marina family... not only her employers but thought of as her family.

Recently Jean went on a cruise, and actually zip-lined over the jungles of Belize.

She was an animal lover...during her adult life, there wasn't a time where she didn't have a dog

or cat to love.

Gathering for refreshments will be held after the memorial service at SideKicks Restaurant on Texas St.
