IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bruce
Thompson
March 9, 1957 – February 9, 2026
Bruce Wayne Thompson was born on March 9, 1957, in Dallas, Texas, to Phillip DeMills Thompson and Wanda Louise Thompson (Anderson). On February 9, 2026, Bruce went to meet Jesus and spend eternity with the family who preceded him in passing.
Bruce was a man of deep faith, unwavering love, and strong devotion to his family. He shared over 50 beautiful years of marriage with his high school sweetheart and loving wife, Irene Thompson. Their marriage was a true example of lifelong commitment, partnership, and love.
Together they raised two children, Rocky and Christy, who were the pride of his life. Bruce was a proud and devoted grandfather to his grandson, Braxton Northcutt, and granddaughter, Harlee Northcutt. His grandchildren brought him immeasurable joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Bruce was blessed with a career he truly loved, dedicating more than 35 years to his profession. Even with a full career and family life, he found time to serve his community as a volunteer firefighter, demonstrating his generous spirit and willingness to help others in times of need.
He had a special love for horses and enjoyed riding his side-by-side, but above all else, he treasured time spent with his family. Whether gathered for holidays, celebrations, or simple everyday moments, Bruce was happiest when surrounded by those he loved.
He is survived by his loving wife, Irene Thompson; his children, Rocky Thompson (Amy) and Christy Northcutt (James); his grandchildren, Braxton Northcutt and Harlee Northcutt; his siblings, Phyllis Alexander, Venita Collins (David), and Patricia Clemens; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Wanda Thompson, and his brother, Phillip Thompson Jr.
Bruce will be remembered for his strength, kindness, faith, and the steady love he gave so freely. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort knowing he is at peace and reunited with loved ones in eternity.
His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
