Obituary

Billy Robinson, a man whose presence was as vibrant as the life he led, passed away on March 20, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and masterful craftsmanship. Born on May 17, 1963, Billy brought to the world a spirit full of life and what could best be described as “main character energy.” His smile was infectious, his voice a constant invitation to conversation; he truly never met a stranger.

Professionally, Billy was a skilled carpenter who took immense pride in the custom cabinets he crafted. His hands shaped wood with care and precision, creating pieces that were not just functional but works of art, treasured by all who had the good fortune to see or use them. But more than his craftsmanship, it was his character that defined him—always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, a quality that made him beloved in his community.

Billy’s interests extended far beyond his trade. He was an active member of the Shriners and a Master Mason. His faith as a Christian was a guiding light throughout his life, offering strength and purpose. In recent years, he discovered a newfound love of gardening, nurturing life in the earth. But one of his greatest passions was his motorcycles—especially his Harley, which he owned with pride and enthusiasm. To Billy, riding was freedom, adventure, and joy all wrapped into one.

But above all his many interests and achievements, Billy was exceptionally proud of being a girl dad. He adored his two daughters and the wonderful families they had made for themselves, delighting in his grandchildren. He doted on them, a superfan of their every accomplishment and a steady pillar of love and support.

Billy is survived by his daughters, Courtney Joyce Thompson and Mitchell, Candace Lois Byrum and Jeffery; grandchildren, Jasmine Byrum, Mason Pierce, Coby Byrum, Sadie Pierce, Grayson Thompson; cousins, CJ Robinson and Terry Bevill, as well as numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Miller Ross and Wanda Joyce Robinson; siblings, Miller Wayne Robinson, Wendell Ray Robinson and Larry Robert Robinson.

Billy Robinson’s life was a beautiful tapestry of kindness, craftsmanship, faith, and family. Though he will be deeply missed, the warmth he shared and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy is not only in the cabinets he built or the roads he rode but in the lives he touched with his boundless generosity and his open heart.
