Billy Wayne Nixon, born on June 16, 1938, peacefully passed away on April 14, 2026. Billy lived a full and meaningful life, marked by dedication not only to his work but also to his family and the simple joys he treasured.

Billy devoted 32 years of his life to working with the streets department for the city of Garland. His commitment to his job reflected his hard-working spirit and steady character.

He shared a beautiful and loving marriage with his wife, Sue, for 60 years. Their partnership was a cornerstone of his life, filled with memories that Billy carried close to his heart until the end.

Beyond his work and marriage, Billy was a man who loved the outdoors. He found peace and happiness in fishing, enjoying the quiet moments by the water that allowed him to connect with nature and unwind.

More than anything, Billy was proud of his family. He loved his grandkids deeply, cherishing every moment spent with them. His affection for his family was evident to all who met him.

Billy is survived by his son, Jow Nixon and Cindy; grandchildren, Dory Treisch, Clara Treisch, Collin Treisch, Laren Nixon, Jacob Nixon and David Nixon.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Sue Nixon; sons, Danny Nixon and David Ralph Nixon.

Billy Wayne Nixon will be remembered as a kind, hardworking man who valued love, family, and the beauty of the outdoors. His presence will be dearly missed by those who had the joy of knowing him.
