Beverly "Joan" Day

Beverly "Joan" Day beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed from this life to her eternal home on January 26, 2026, at the age of 87 at her home in Emory, Tx surrounded by her family. Born on February 26, 1938, in Dallas, Tx to Buford Sands and Mary Alice Sands. She graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in Dallas, Texas.

Joan is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Don Day; children Gary Day, Jeanene Day, Julie Day and grandchildren Jason Day, David Day, Jordyn Moore, Ashlee Moore and 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, James Sands (Coeta), Betty Walthall (Billy), Terri Peterson (Robert).

Joan will be remembered for her giving nature, laughter, quiet wit, kindness and strong devotion to God and her faith. She enjoyed planting flowers, RV travels, riding motorcycles with her husband Don and friends traveling the U.S. countryside in their motorcycle club, GWRRA.

Joan leaves behind a legacy of love, humor and kindness, and her memory will continue

to be in the hearts of her family and friends forever. We all miss her very much.

A graveside service will be held in her honor on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Emory City Cemetery in Emory, Texas at 12 P.M. A Visitation will be held at Wilson-Orwosky Chapel in Emory, Texas an hour prior at 11 A.M
