Veda Gilley

Mrs. Grace Gilley, age 101, of Emory, passed away at her home Monday afternoon. Mrs. Grace was born September 30, 1917, in Emory to the parentage of Willis Walter and Mable Grayson Pound. She and Mr. Olen Gilley were married on September 10, 1942 at Tyler. She was a graduate of Emory High School. Mrs. Grace was a clerk/typist for the local abstract company and assisted her husband, who was the Rains County and District Clerk for many years. She was a faithful member of the Emory Church of Christ. Mrs. Grace will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her survivors include: Daughters, Lana Waters and husband, Tom of Emory and DaLee Little and husband, Alan of Emory; Grandchildren, Bryan Waters, Jeremy Waters, Dana Little Mangus and Rod Little; Great-grandchildren, Tirzah Waters, Sarah Waters, Sophia Waters, Matrim Waters, Christina Waters, Macie Grace Mangus, Jace Little, Landon Ross and Layla Ross.

She was preceded in death by: Parents; Husband in 1995, Brothers, Jack Pound and Wilbur Pound; Sister, Gladys Ivie.
